Rainy Lake Labrador Retrievers

• My dogs live & play with me in my home and on my wooded acreage. ​​
• I keep their kennel time  minimal (when breeding is happening or with puppies 3 weeks + in age) !
•  When they are kenneled, each one of my dogs has their very own spacious 64-96 square feet indoor kennel (heated / air conditioned!) with full time access to their own outside yard via a doggy door.​
• My puppies are whelped inside my home and stay there 1st 3 weeks, where they are cared for, handled with TLC & LOVED 
• My puppies are crate & doggy door trained, excellent start on potty training, plus have lots of environmental stimulation both indoors and outdoors!
• I have a 2 year health guarantee!
• My adoption fee is based on hours spent raising the puppies & the costs associated with that!
• I only accept deposits on planned litters, so you get to pick the parents, color and gender and I'll let you know when my next planned breeding is. If you are in agreement for that time frame, then I will accept your deposit.
• ​I am here for the lifetime of your puppy with any questions you may have!
• I post live video footage of my dogs and puppies, so you can see for yourself how they are loved and cared for!
• I post updated pictures of the puppies with their weight 1x a week so you can watch how they grow and change!

Commercial Breeders

• Do not allow their dogs in their homes to spend time as a member of their family :(

• Do not provide each dog with their own personal space indoors and outdoors, instead they keep their dogs in small kennels at all times, often having them share a kennel since many have 20-30 dogs :(
• Do not have doggy doors with each dog having their own climate controlled inside kennel and their own outside yard :(​
• Do not keep their whelping dogs at their bedside but in a kennel with high plywood walls in straw/pine shavings, without being monitored :(
• Do not give the puppies that need extra help to live (like runts) the extra care needed so those puppies end up dying because they are not being looked after 24/7   :(​
• Do not base their fee on anything reasonable, instead their prices are based on the color & gender of puppy & what they feel the "market" is for them, & can be up to $3,000 :(​
•  Do not guarantee what litter your deposit on a puppy will be from  and/or when you will get your puppy...sometimes a year or more in the future :(​

Hobby/Backyard Breeders

• Do not do health tests or screening of the parent dogs before breeding, just breeding to try to make a quick buck...
• Do not provide adequate care of the puppies, instead keep the puppies in blocked off areas in their home, garage, barn ...
• Do not think about fire hazards and dangers and use items such as heat lamps along with straw or pine shavings to try to keep their puppies warm ...
• Do not concern themselves with proper vetting and health checks of the puppies
• Do not understand the importance of the environment of the puppies, keeping puppies locked up in a plywood area where they cannot see there is a big beautiful world out there...
• Do not understand the importance of the social stimulation that should be put into raising a litter of puppies, from handling of mouth, trimming of toe nails, bath time, & exposure to other people & animals...
• Do not have knowledge on how to care for a puppy that is weak or a runt, so often times the helpless puppy then dies..
• Do not provide a health guarantee on puppies...
• Do not price their puppies at a fee based on anything at all, they are priced cheaper to sell to unsuspecting people...
• Do not provide follow-up on care or questions people have in the future for puppies...
